Getting Started with Voxel Space: Your First 3D Project
Voxel Space is designed to make complex spatial data intuitive, visual, and actionable.
Whether you're working with point clouds, block models, or aerial imagery, our platform helps you manage, process, and visualize everything in a unified 3D environment.
In this quick guide, we’ll walk you through the core steps for creating your first project and unlocking insights from your spatial data.
Every project in VoxelSpace starts in the Catalog section. From here, you can view, organize, and manage all your spatial datasets. Think of it as your project control center.
Click “Create New Project”, then give it a name and description. You can also configure your project’s coordinate system and units. Once created, your project will open automatically.
Inside your project, click “Add Object” to begin adding spatial entities. VoxelSpace supports a wide range of input formats:
- Point Clouds
- Meshes (OBJ/FBX)
- Block Models
- Ortho-Imagery
Each dataset can be uploaded with its own coordinate reference system and metadata.
Once your raw data is in the system, VoxelSpace lets you convert it into optimized formats for analysis and visualization. These include:
- Indexed Mesh
- Indexed Point Cloud
- Voxel Terrain
- Voxel Block Model
- Voxelized Mesh
- Ortho Voxel Terrain
- Voxelized Points
Choose the format that fits your use case—whether it's simulation, comparison, or rendering.
Views are where VoxelSpace truly shines. With a View, you can combine multiple datasets into a 3D scene, configure visual styles, explore cross-sections, and share insights with your team.
Views are collaborative, reusable, and can be saved or shared across your organization.
